I really enjoyed this piece. This is probably the most equipment I have drawn in a long time. And luckily I checked the recording so this time everything was youtube ready!

Story
I was already used to the humans handling me. Of course as a foal I was being touched more than enough, but it does feel good to continue my training to the top. I mean I know I’m a star and can easily prove it, but that doesn’t mean I can’t perfect myself with training. One of the things I saw my fellow horse do was a class called liberty. She had to preform tricks. Even though she walks wonderful I can’t believe she actually bowed down to the humans! I will never do that! I talked with Jack a few times and he explained a lot about the competition world. I think dressage would suit me or otherwise halter. I have already had a few halter competitions when I was young, but those fabulous and adorable foal skills won’t help me now. One of the things the humans apparently do to train a horse is lunging. You get a halter on and some other equipment I have never seen before and listen to commands. Even though I don’t mind them helping me improve I still don’t like it when I have to follow command after command. I rather try to steal the show myself thank you. But Jack told me that it is important to let them help and command you. They are the ones who are showing me off to the world and they can’t do that if I won’t work with them. He has a point of course.

So today was going to be the day I was going to get lunged. I ate all the hay in my stable and drank enough before the human came in to my stable to give me my daily carrot and a well-deserved cleaning. The cleaning was shorter than normal, but since I was interested in what today had to offer I didn’t mind. The halter was shoved over my head and we walked out of the stable to the circle arena. I haven’t really been here before although I’ve seen other horses in it. I was put in the middle and saw another human enter the arena. I was not the biggest fan of the brown haired human, since she seemed to happy. She always told me how good I was and whistled when I needed to come to her. What am I, your dog?! Anyway she was holding some things in her hand which I presume was my equipment. She held it in front of me and I couldn’t help myself but to sniff it. It smelled like horses. She walked to my side while the read headed human petted my head softly. I felt something being put on my back and behind my legs, but it was so light weight that I didn’t mind. It felt like I didn’t need to work hard for it to work. One of the humans walked to the side of the arena while the other led me to the other side. She had me stand still and walked back. I saw a long rope between us. Not long after I hears her say a command. I of course didn’t listen. I threw my head in the air and let them knew I wasn’t having it. When I opened my eyes again I was something long and slender in her hand. I have never seen it before. The human saw that I was looking and repeated the command. I still wouldn’t move until I was the slender thing coming towards me with immense speed. I jumped and trotted away. I held a close eye on the thing that already returned to the human. She apparently gave me a compliment, but for what? I walked a few rounds and tried to slow down. But when I was almost at my slowest pace of trotting I saw it moving again while the human told me yet another command. I just decided to gallop my way away from it. Running towards it didn’t seem an option but going as fast as I could sure seemed like a plan to try. I ran like the wind! My tail flying up and the world passing by me and then meeting me again. The human said that I needed to slow down, but I didn’t feel like it. But after a while I ran out of energy and lowered my pace. I saw the human coming towards me with the thing as soon as I stood still. I jumped away once again although my energy level wasn’t liking it. She tried to calm me down, but that thing kept following. The brown haired human came back in to the arena, took the thing and walked away. After that I felt the equipment being lift from me and I only was wearing a bridle. I got a cuddle that I didn’t feel like having and we walked toward my stable after that. I wanted to stay outside and just ly on the grass but the thought of having an endless water supply in the stable fit me better. So in the stable I drank as much as I could and found a bucket full of carrots to my surprise. Maybe I should do the exact same thing next time and then I’ll be rewarded with even more carrots! Let tomorrow come! And then I fell asleep with my belly full of carrots and water.
